On Wednesday November 29th, 2017, 18 h we are invited by de Gruyter Publishing House (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verlag_Walter_de_Gruyter) to a round table hosted by Eric Merkel-Sobotta, director communications, who has a long standing experience in publishing (https://www.linkedin.com/in/eric-merkel-sobotta-0408404). One of our focus subjects will be open access, a matter very intensely discussed by the different players. Within Max-Planck reference is often made to a publication on that subject by the European Commission. Eric Merkel-Sobotta will give us in an initial statement an introduction to de Gruyter Publishing House and its policy on open access, which will be followed by an open discussion.

Everyone interested in taking part should directly send an email (subject “visit to de Gruyter”) to the MPAA member Dr. Richard Schubert (moderator of internal network for fundamental questions / Arbeitskreis für Grundsatzfragen) at richard.schubert@mpg-alumni.de.

End of registration Nov. 22nd. The maximum number of participants is 15.
