Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Healthcare

June 5, 2019
Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Munich

The healthcare industry remains to large extent unaffected by the recent progress in data processing capabilities. Partially this is explained by the tough regulatory environment and partially by ethical concerns. However, in many cases the slow adoption of new technologies is caused by the unawareness about the new potential use cases they open. In this conference, we want to explore the possibilities for AI and Big Data to improve the way diagnostics and medications are being developed, validated, and deployed through novel cooperation formats within Pharma. What a tech startup can offer to a Pharma company? Which data does an insurer require from patients to provide the best coverage from the fixed premiums? How an informatics Professor can be helpful to a medical doctor? With our speaker line and panel discussions we aim to start productive dialogue between different stakeholder groups.

The event will be accompanied by the exhibition of AI-inspired art and will be topped by the wine & cheese session.

The price is 15€ for Academy (students, professors) and 35€ for Industry. The price includes lunch, coffee breaks, and the wine & cheese session.
