Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Pharma

Impact on drug development on the role of the industry

March 21, 2018
Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Munich

New technologies, such as Big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), are progressively changing the process of drug and clinical development. Currently these new technologies are being adopted by big pharma players, such as Novartis. Smaller biotech companies can also benefit from applying Big data and AI to their process of drug and clinical development. This workshop aims to provide an overview about Big data and AI to non-experts of this field working in biotech. Selected topics include AI in personalized medicine, drug discovery, pre-clinical and clinical development. Besides presentations on these topics, there will be a panel discussion in which invited experts are sharing their views on the advantages and challenges of implementing Big data and AI on biotech companies working in drug development.
